I told myself to finish this model kit in 3 days.

But i finish building it on the second day. I think i was a little bit too rush.

I skipped the lining of the inner frame, since it's not visible once the armors cover it up. Therefore i only markered a few exposed parts on the inner frame with the metallic marker.





Wednesday was our reproduction system assessment. In the evening went hang out with batchmates at midvalley and at night i started my work.

For the 3 hours i only managed to finish the head, torso and both arms. Was really exhausted because of the exam.

Yesterday i continued to build it. From 1pm to 7.30pm i sat there and it's finally done.





The backpack is less heavy then the MG Strike Freedom, which has 4 pairs of wings. There are only a sword, a beam cannon and a pair of lighter wings in Destiny. Therefore it can still stand by its own without the stand.

Downside is the pelvic joints is less strong due to the additional abduction joint at it. It's pretty good to have that mechanism to pose better for aerial action, but the designer should have strengthen that particular point.

Wings of Light.

Massive pieces of plastic with the thickness less than 0.5mm.

It appeared pink in color under normal light. And it shines with rainbow color when you look at different angle.

I took the photos with flash so that the wings can look more colourful.





"Arondight" anti-ship sword. Long, massive, extendable.

Other than the standard MG hand, an additional hand is given where it enables better grip at this sword. It's really big and the standard MG hand can't able to hold it tight.





M2000GX high-energy long-range beam cannon. The sensor and lower part extend out from the main body when the handle is twisted down.

That is because there's another mechanism working in the beam cannon that pushes the sensor and the lower part out. This particular part, M27 was weaken when i took it out twice because i fixed wrongly. That is really a sad case because that piece is the crucial part for this mechanism.

It didn't break, but weaken already so it can't grip on the other part well, therefore the slide out function is gone.

That's why, read the construction manual carefully. T.T





Solidus Fulgor" beam shield generator, mounted on both wrists.

Too bad there's only one pair given even though there are 5 hands given in this kit to change with each other. Therefore if you want to change the MG standard hand into the palm opened hand, you may need to take out this shield generator and put on the part you want to change.

The shield is clear, the color tone gives the effect as it is released from the generator. Not bad being a 0.5mm piece of PET plastic.





Other than the beam shield, there's actually a normal shield with Destiny. But as far as i could recall, i could hardly see this MS uses this shield in the anime.

Being a nuclear powered MS, there's no worry of power consumption with the beam shield. So i suppose that the physical shield is not really needed.

The shield is kind of small, but it can slide down into a bigger size and expose the red part in it.





MMI-X340 "Palma Fiocina" palm beam cannon.

Quite funny, being a melee weapon no one would expect this move will be visualised in such a way. The clear plastic part needs to be colored in order to make it look more real.

This takes out some space too because it's kind of long...





RQM60F "Flash-Edge 2" beam boomerang, mounted on shoulders, hand-carried in use.

There are 2 long and 2 short beams given for the boomerang, that's really generous. The clear effect parts can be fixed on the wrist and the boomerang to make the move of this MG throwing out the boomerang.

And again, it's better if this clear part is painted a little.





MA-BAR73/S high-energy beam rifle. And this is the default SEED pose.

A lot of people got bored of this pose though because it's been abused in most of the artworks of the Cosmic Era suits.

The rifle can be stored at the back, but the stand is on the way. Guess i need to unscrew the stand and turn it over to the front. But i afraid that the process of taking the stand out from the base would damage it, so i'll just leave it.

I don't want another stand to be broken again. A friend just broke my MG Hi-Nu's stand. In order to get another one i'd need to pay RM220 for it since the stand only comes with the model kit but not sold separately.

The box is of normal MG box size, unlike the massive MG Strike Freedom full burst mode's box size which as big as the Perfect Grade boxes.

Once the Wings of Light is applied, the model looked big and it takes out quite a lot of space. This is the 6th MG in my room and i'm running out of space. Therefore i'll need to take out the Wings of Light in order to display it.

That's it, next MG would be the Unicorn. May consider the 1/100 scale model of Exia.

Intro

It wasn't easy for me to get my hands on this.

Luckily i got this master grade with a reasonable price. For an MG with 7,320 yen (approx RM216) it is selling like RM320 locally due to those immoral greed ass sellers in ebay and shops.

I bought it for 8,330 yen even though it's a 7,350 yen kit. Of course, we can't expect it to sell at the exact price in japan. I have to call myself lucky since the rest of the people of the world (those in us, europe) need to buy it online with shipping costs, where i only need to bear the travel cost (5 minutes from imu) and the parking fee (RM1). But sadly, time cost.

I waited outside the model shop for 1 hour and 35 minutes for the shop owner to return. I was busy the next day, and the next next day we have exam. So that day, monday, i have to wait until the shop reopens. It was 9.45pm after i done everything.





The whole gunpla world is getting mad over this kit. Same as the MG strike freedom full burst mode released last year, this MG sold out after few days in japan. On the second day, if i'm not wrong.

That shows how much juice bandai and squeeze out from the modellers and collectors with the name of special version.





The regular version is just 5,350 yen while this special version is 2,000 yen more expensive. For the extra 2,000 yen it comes with the Wings of Light, special effect parts, chromed parts and 1/20 clear figurine of Shinn Asuka and Kira Yamato.

I only want the WoL and the effect parts. Screw the clear figurines, seriously. Just because they want to make the special version kit to sell in 7,350 yen therefore they think hard to squeeze in something to make it seems to worth the price.





I like chrome parts. But this frame isn't very perfectly chromed because there are still a few small parts which are not well coated. But fortunately this flaw isn't that obvious.

About 55 parts in the chrome coated frame. Not too bad. But some of those parts are hidden, doesn't matter if they are coated or not.





Good that the hydraulic pipe at the feet serves a function, like the one in MG Hi Nu's thigh.

Unlike the rest of the MG where the hydraulic pipes at the feet is just merely a decoration where the pipes aren't movable.





Things are massive in MG format. The wings are much bigger than the 1/100 scale model, of course.

Plus the small wing units move apart when the bigger unit is pulled up. Standard MG mechanism. But this isn't as fragile as the MG strike freedom's wing mechanism because it's much simplier.





Wings of Light. Made by PET plastic, i wonder what is it.

It appeared in rainbow color under the light, just like the back of a CD. Very beautiful indeed, and in some way Destiny Gundam won't be itself without this.

The downside is that it's too thin, less than 0.5mm, which makes it fragile.


PS: For those who plan to buy this, please, don't waste your money to buy it with RM300 or RM320. The price will drop to RM220 after the reissue version in december.

You will only get smarter along the way you collect. There's a price to pay in being smart in buying too.

Finally i can login into this.

My firefox browser didn't seem to work well for blogger, each time i attempted to login, the browser will just shut off by itself.

I don't know why. Only blogger page is affected. But never mind, hope it won't repeat again.


We will have our reproduction system assessment on next wednesday. First assessment that we have which is not held on friday.

I think this is going to be a hard one. Unlike for endocrine system where the whole batch managed to score A (160 A and 15 A-), i don't really think that we can score as high as we did for endocrine.

By the way, the endocrine paper was the first system that i passed. Thank godness.



The beginning of the conspiracy


Nothing much i can talk about since most of the times of my life is spent for studying.

Chan is approaching the god's level. Studied until 4.30am last night, and go sleep for an hour, wake up, and reached imu before 8am for the medical museum section class.

That's really insane. Regardless how much of stuffs i need to study, i'll still make sure that i have a least 4 hours of sleep.

Since he slept for only an hour the night before, this is what he became after the class at 9.30am in the library.



Really cannot tahan already...


When someone is dying of boredom, the level of sanity will really decrease until you won't able to tell who you are - and that drives you to do some stupid.

I don't have to name it, you will know who he is. Because there's only 1 fella around who will lose his sanity so easily.

No, wait. Is he really sane?

I'm not sure. LOL.

At first i was wondering what he was trying to do. Until he completed the bar only i realised that was an internet explorer's download window.

And i named the downloading file as "Toyko Hot".

To add more sarcasm, he added "bukakke" in the file name.

Estimated time left of download is in fact days we have until the exam.

With the download window showing the file that he downloading currently (not porn... no, no...) through sleep, with 5 days left to complete the process.

The submission of artworks for IMU's international art competition has been ended on Tuesday. Themed "History of Medicine", a very narrowed yet pointless theme, where no one actually knows how to draw.

On the tuesday itself, i drove to uni just to submit my works at last minute. And i only titled and wrote the descriptions at the very last minute as well.

Same as last year, i submitted two blank inked drawings, which i will not able to win no matter what. I prefer to draw feminine, sexual and violent things, still.

Non winning artworks can be collected back by the participants. Better still, i can collect my non winning drawings back.





I required to draw a wheelchair in one of my work. I actually snapped a few photos of wheelchair when i went to the hospital to visit someone.

A prosthetic was also drawn in the same picture. But this isn't as lucky as that because i was totally lack of reference to draw. I don't have any real life prosthetic to refer with, therefore i drew it out by using my very own design.

Hope the judges can see that is a prosthetic there.

But it doesn't matter already.





As i mentioned i went to uni to submit my artworks on tuesday. I called chan out because we had something to do after that. Having an extra plain A4 paper with me, chan had an evil thought.

He wanted to enter the art competition as well.

Damn, this could be really funny. The deadline of submission is that day itself, on 5.30pm where the time the Student Affair Department closes. Having the time of 4 hours before 5.30pm, we decided to work it out.

It was a holiday that day where casual wearings are allowed in the library but except 3/4 pants and slippers. With that banned outfit we invaded the library before the infamous librarian chased us away.

We went into the com lab because chan needed to print the form out as to enter the competition.

Spotted yokie there studying as well for her coming pharmacy final exams, chan managed to get 3 pieces of plain A4 papers, plus a few color pens and a highlighter as the material to draw.

We went to the 4th floor and chan started his conspiracy.

He wanted to submit a work not for the sake of winning the competition, but to show the real side of medical field instead.

I assume that the theme "History of Medicine" wants something regarding the history and the progress of the medical field, where most of the people will think about the progression of medicine, pharmacology, and as well as the people who contributed in the medical field.

But being a Chan, an extraordinary people with extraordinary mind, he decided to draw something else out of the frame.

"People will only draw how great the medical field has progressed, i'd prefer to draw the decadent part of medicine."

Titled "Decadence" and i don't even understand the description itself due to my limited english comprehension, i think this work is going to be a big ass kickin' one.

You got to see it by yourself on monday when they exhibit the drawings in imu... Chan ones definitely rocks and stand out from the rest.





Even Sree was there to hang around with us. He won a consolation prize last year, but he didn't managed to join this year though.

Heard from chan that today he spotted his drawing at the 4th floor. Seems that the uni isn't that bad to treat it as a prank and throw away his drawing.

Lectures will start on monday and i'll be back to uni. Heard that there are more than 60 drawings submitted. Being an international art event, i expect nothing less from them. I heard there are some drawings are like primary school kid works though. Nonetheless, this could be the largest art competition i've ever joined.

But i have only joined imu's art competition only by the way, LOL.





Being an international event, that explains why the first prize is RM2,500 and the total of RM7,500.

But anyway, it's already "GG"-ed. I can't even win a consolation prize of RM500.

I didn't even know what did i drew.
