Today, I have wasted a friend's precious time due to poor preparation and sense of direction.
I really have the urge to end the sentence above with the usual three-letter word like how I always do in fb status.
So, we wanted to go to Putrajaya for the hot air balloon fiesta. Friend's friend said today (21st March 2011) is the last day of the event, and what I have read online during my research said so too. But my youngest sister told me that it has ended yesterday.
Sunset view from Putrajaya Seafood Restaurant.
It wasn't hard to get to Putrajaya from Bukit Jalil, thanks to the new highway. It wasn't hard to get to Prestin 2 either, where the event was held. Once we reached there, we were greeted by empty canopies and aftermaths.Taken during 2007, this is the second bridge I went.
Having read the notice board placed there, we got to know that my youngest sister's information was indeed correct...
So, I consoled myself by telling my friend that I could bring her to see the bridges at night before they looked nice when lighted up. However, the journey to find for a restaurant there in Putrajaya was a huge challenge for me.
That was the third time I drive there but I have no knowledge of that place at all. Failed to locate the mall which we were seeking through the google map in my phone, we settled ourselves at the Putrajaya Seafood Restaurant.
So after the dinner we made our way to the bridge. The moment I spot the bridge ahead of me, the sky started to pour. I did make a mistake this time, by thinking that the lights are multi-colored. No, it was not. And now I check back the photo I have taken back in year 2007, yes the bridge is only lighted by white color lights...
Therefore in the end, we didn't get to see the hot air balloon, we didn't get to see and take photos at "colorful beautiful bridges". Oh well, at least the scenery from the restaurant.
Having wasted half a day of my friend's time, now she is going to rush her work...
Thank you so much!
Hmm, this is a good start of me reviving this page. I shall do this more often.
